01 Mar Jag on the charge
VOLTZ LEASING is looking forward to the motoring revolution.
Both Jaguar and Ford have announced plans to go all-electric in the next few years, as manufacturers charge themselves up to meet Boris Johnson’s 2030 deadline. And Voltz is thrilled to see that our friends at Jaguar plan to embrace the challenge.
Jaguar has announced that its entire fleet will be electric by 2025. What a great decision from a great manufacturer.
Sales have dropped 24% thanks to the pandemic but this bold move should haul in those lost customers and Voltz will be among them, with the intention of adding a choice of these luxury beauties to its fleet.
And Ford has announced that all its cars and vans will have an electric or plug-in hybrid option by mid-2024. It is investing £16 billion in developing electric technology over the next four years .
Voltz expects to be among the first leasing companies to be buying in a selection of Fords, to offer up alongside the luxury Jaguars.
Both manufacturers will be helped by recent news from Northumberland where Britishvolt is to build an enormous car battery manufacturing plant. It will employ 3,000 people and is scheduled to open in 2023.
That’s right on cue for tens of thousands of Jaguars and Fords to roll smoothly and silently off their production lines.
